TWICE made an energetic comeback. After the release of the commercially successful album Page Two, TWICE made a comeback with Twicecoaster: Lane 1. Twicecoaster: Lane 1 is their third EP since their debut. Twicecoaster: Lane 1 was released both digitally and physically on October 24th, 2016. The EP consists of seven tracks with the main title being “TT.” Some of the other songs are “Ponytail,” “Jelly Jelly,” “Pit-a-Pat,” “Next Page,” and “One in a Million.”

It was confirmed that TWICE was making a comeback after the release of Page Two. The confirmation of TWICE’s comeback was announced on October 10th, 2016, by JYP Entertainment who released a promotion table that went from October 10th, 2016, to October 24th, 2016. On October 11th, 2016, TWICE released an intro video where they have just finished performing “Cheer Up” and went into a waiting room. After strolling around, they then receive a message and make a pose just like the word TT. The next day, the main title was revealed with the title “TT” and an image that was titled “TWICE MV Universe.” It unveiled that the music video has a connection with their previous releases “Cheer Up” and “Like Ooh-Ahh.”
On October 23rd, 2016, TWICE released a highlight medley that contains an audio snippet from the song on the Twicecoaster: Lane 1 EP. You can listen to the audio snippet in the video below.
The Production of Twicecoaster: Lane 1 by TWICE
Consisting of various genres such as deep house, electropop, dance-pop, R&B, and rock, the Twicecoaster: Lane 1 EP was written, produced, and composed by various musicians. For the main title, TWICE once again worked with Black Eyed Pilseung and Sam Lewis as the lyricists for “TT.” As for the other songs, TWICE worked with several producers like Rado and several lyricists.

The comeback of TWICE was one of their most phenomenal comebacks since their debut. Their main title “TT” received an all-kill title by topping real-time charts on eight major South Korean music sites. On October 31st, 2016, it was also reported that Twicecoaster: Lane 1 sold more than 165,000 copies on Gaon Chart, making it the highest sales for a Korean girl group in 2016. While “TT” received an all-kill title on South Korean music sites, Twicecoaster: Lane 1 also received positive reviews by charting in several countries. TWICE constantly makes energetic music.
